Courses Offered:
PC Technician: 60 hours of hands on training $1500
The most unique training program in Chicago! Our PC Technician Program is taught by a Computer Technician in a Computer Repair Center. We repair hundreds of computers every month. We have been doing so since 2003. You can be confident that you are learning from IT Professionals and learning real tools used by technicians.
We believe in hands-on and “experience”. Our training program is designed to maximize hands-on experience. We teach you skills which are relevant and not limited by a particular certification or by a particular book. We understand what tools and technologies a “PC Technician” should be familiar with. Our PC Technician course helps students prepare for the A+ Certification. Many training providers place beginners or career change students in an “A+ Certification” program. According to CompTIA, the organization responsible for developing the A+ Certification, this certification is for those who have 500 hours of hands-on experience.
Our Training Program is not titled “A+ Certification” instead our courses are titled after job titles. Our training programs are designed to help students learn the skills they would be required to perform at their job.
90% of the course is hands-on and fun. We do not expect you to go home and read hundreds of pages of text and practice thousands of questions. In order to successfully complete our course we expect our students to come in with a positive attitude and ready to perform hands-on tasks to gain “EXPERIENCE”. We provide “experience” and not just “training”
Desktop Support Specialist - 384 hours of hands on training
CHANGE YOUR LIFE IN 6 MONTHS!
ONLY 48 Students will be accepted in 2010. We only work with limited number of students for this program. Maximum attention is given to each student and with classroom student to teacher ratio of 6 to 1 for more than 70% of the course. We provide unlimited one – on –one tutoring outside of class.
Average Salary of IT Helpdesk / Desktop Support Specialist is $35k - $45k according to Department of Labor.
LIFE CHANGING PROGRAM - 6 months = Confident Professional!
This program will qualify you for a job as a Desktop Support Specialist. We believe in hands on training, practice, repetition, and experience. The length of this program is very important. We feel that one year of hands on experience training is as good as real world experience. The length of time also ensures that the students are involved with Information Technology for a long enough period to understand concepts and build a solid foundation. This program is designed to help you make the perfect transition to the IT field.
We have designed this program to cover the A+ Certification and MCTS certification. The course covers many applications, tools, technologies not found in any cookie cutter certification program. The course is designed to be the ultimate course any career changer would need to make a successful transition into the Information Technology field.
We expect our students to spend 8 hours of training in class and about 15 hours of practice and hands-on training outside of class. At the end of the course the student will have over 1000+ hours of training hours. Our Labs are open throughout the week with an Instructor or IT professional available to answer all your questions.
